William Stokoe was born 22nd Janurary 1830 in St Jon Lee, Northumberland. He was the fifth child of William Stokoe and Isabella Stokoe (nee Marshall).
On 6th June 1841 the Census was held. William Stokoe was living in Sandoe, Northumberland, with his parents William Stokoe and Isabella Stokoe (nee Marshall) and his siblings; Jane Stokoe, Ralph Stokoe, Mary Stokoe, Bennet Stokoe, John Stokoe, Sarah Stokoe and Isabella Stokoe.
On 30th March 1851 the Census was held. William Stokoe was living in Sandoe, Northumberland, with his parents William Stokoe and Isabella Stokoe, his siblings; Jane Stokoe, Ralph Stokoe, Sarah Stokoe and Isabella Stokoe and a lodger John Pearson. William was working as a Blacksmith.

On 2nd April 1911 the Census was held. William Stokoe was living at Lynton House, Waverley Avenue, Monkseaton, Northumberland, with his niece Isabella Leadbitter and his brother Bennet Stokoe. William was a retired Blacksmith/Old Age Pensioner.
In 1913 William Stokoe died.
